We are board-certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionists. Erin Skinner also has a certification in integrative and functional nutrition therapy. We are passionate about women’s and family health. We believe health and wellness begin with prenatal (even preconception) food choices. An expert maternity dietary coach can empower you to make the best choices to nourish you (and developing baby) while you’re pregnant and after giving birth.
And we can’t wait to be part of your journey.
There is so much information to sift through on the web, at the bookstore, and in magazines. Add what we like to call the “opinion-meter” — infinite opinions and advice from family members, friends, and that “well-meaning stranger” on the street who are all experts while you’re pregnant — everything can get muddled and confusing.
How can you best prepare your body for a healthy pregnancy? (Including partners!) With virtual therapy or face-to-face counseling with a pregnancy dietitian nutritionist at our clinic, a maternity dietary coach will empower you with the tools you need to:
We’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of women to help them reach their nutrition goals for fertility, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and postpartum healing. Here are some of the most common questions we receive:
A pregnancy nutritionist, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), is a dedicated healthcare specialist focused on developing individualized diet plans for expectant mothers so they can meet their nutrient needs, maintain a healthy diet when battling with common pregnancy symptoms (like food aversions, morning sickness, and cravings), and managing any health complications during pregnancy (gestational diabetes, high blood pressure etc.).
Dietitians assume a pivotal role in the journey of pregnancy, offering expert guidance and crafting personalized nutrition plans to safeguard the well-being of both the expectant mother and her developing baby. This crucial partnership is a cornerstone in addressing the distinct nutritional requirements and challenges that arise at every stage of a woman’s pregnancy, including pre-conception and the postpartum period.
The choices a pregnant woman makes when it comes to her diet have profound and far-reaching impacts, influencing critical factors like fetal growth, organ development, and the physical and cognitive health of her baby. A healthy diet plan with key nutrients not only supports the development of a mother-to-be’s baby but also reduces the risk of complications during pregnancy (like gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and preterm labor) and labor. Nutrition also has a direct link to academic success in a child’s later years. Every bite counts.
Women’s unique dietary needs during pregnancy can be both confusing and overwhelming. A certified nutritionist (RDN) can help you sift through the deluge of information and provide you with science-backed nutrition counseling to improve your health status, help you maintain a healthy weight, prepare for breastfeeding, and manage uncomfortable pregnancy symptoms.
We will individualize dietary interventions to support you and your developing baby’s health while you’re pregnant and after giving birth. We will empower you to make the best nutrition choices and provide you with diet plans that adapt to your preferences, cultural needs, and medical needs. Our job is to make sure you and your growing baby are getting a nutrient-rich diet.
You’ll be paired with one of the expert nutrition therapists and maternity dietitian nutritionists on our team, to help you reach your goals.

During a woman’s gestational period — from fertility through breastfeeding and postpartum healing, a woman’s nutritional needs are incredibly unique (as are her developing baby’s needs). Whether you’re struggling with managing symptoms of PCOS, are experiencing bloating and nausea while pregnant, need a maternity nutritionist coach to help you better nourish yourself, have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, or are needing extra support to improve healing in that postnatal period, we find that a minimum of three sessions are typically needed for optimal results. That said, because of the body’s changing needs from preconception to postpartum, we offer an array of discounted services, which include access to meal plans, follow-up appointments, and more. We will customize the session spacing for your needs, but the typical spacing is 2 – 3 weeks between sessions. We provide our patients with the option to access expert online prenatal nutritionist dietitians with a secure telehealth platform. Sessions must be used within 6 months.

Don’t be fooled by the name. “Nutritionist” is not a professional title. Only a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) meets rigorous academic requirements with clinical training, holding a degree from an accredited university. Our RDNs stay informed of guidelines set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to provide our patients with expert nutrition counseling for their fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum health.
